My Texas Journeyman Lineman license expired 3 years ago, what do I do?
Three years is the end of the mail window. A Journeyman Lineman license that expired up to 36 months ago renews by mail for $60. After 36 months TDLR cannot renew it. Re-apply for a new license. Check the exact expiration date in the license lookup before you choose.
The four windows after a license expires
Example for a Journeyman Lineman license, renewal fee $30.
- Expired 90 days or less ago: renew online for $45, 1.5 times the renewal fee.
- Expired 91 days to 18 months ago: renew online for $60, 2 times the renewal fee.
- Expired 18 to 36 months ago: renew by mail with the Request to Executive Director form, for $60, 2 times the renewal fee.
- Expired over 36 months ago: TDLR cannot renew the license. Re-apply for a new license.
