About this license

A Journeyman Electrician may perform electrical work under the supervision of or for a licensed Master Electrician. This is a step above apprentice and below master on the Texas electrician licensing ladder.

How to renew

  1. Complete 4 CE hours through a TDLR-approved provider
  2. Log in to the TDLR license portal 
  3. Submit renewal and pay the fee before your expiration date
