How to verify a provider
- Go to the TDLR Continuing Education search page
- Search for the provider by name
- Confirm the provider is listed and their approval is active
- Verify the specific course is approved for your license type
What to look for
- The provider must be specifically approved by TDLR — approval from another state or national organization does not count
- The course must be approved for your license type (Master, Journeyman, Residential Wireman, etc.)
- Approval status can expire — confirm the course is currently active
Red flags
- Provider claims approval without a TDLR approval number
- Course is listed as “CEU” without specifying TDLR approval
- Provider is based outside Texas with no TDLR-specific approval
